Most cats won’t over eat and of course most are litter box trained so it seems OK to leave them alone for a little while or maybe an occasional overnight. Kitties and other pets are just as important as dogs and they need just as much love, attention and stimulation. They can still go through anxiety from being alone and need to be checked on just in case of something unforeseen happens.
